These filters are fitted as standard on septic tanks all over the world - except for the UK where 'onion' shaped tanks make them almost impossible to fit.  The filters slot into the vertical part of the 'T' pipe on the outlet.

Unless you have very free-draining sandy or gravely soil, it is unwise to consider using a septic tank alone for populations over 13 persons as the size and cost of the soakaway will be prohibitive and much more than the cost of a superior sewage treatment plant, like the BioKube, that can discharge direct to a watercourse.  The same applies to smaller tanks if the soil contains clay.

Specifications of Crystal Tanks

Crystal septic tanks are available in two types:

• CLASS 1 - Suitable for concrete base and granular (gravel) backfill

• CLASS 2 - suitable for full concrete surround only

Crystal Septics can also be fitted with a Septic Tank Filter which prevents solids  from leaving the tank, giving a much cleaner effluent for the BioKube to treat and improving treatment standards even further.
